Celebrities play a big role in the media, whether it's acting in a movie or providing the headlines for that days news. The media invades celebrities private lives, endorses them and shows them to the public like heroes.

 

Recently there hasn't been much difference between a celebrities private and the public life due to the media attempting to expose every celebrities deepest, darkest secrets just so we have something to gossip about and to show us that our roles aren't perfect.

 

Members of the paparazzi go to extreme levels just to get a picture of two actors kissing in order to recieve big amounts of money.

 

 

Over the years the media has lost touch with the boundaries on protecting a celebrities personal life. One of historys most famous celebrities death was caused due to the media crossing these boundaries. In Paris during the summer of 1997, Princess Diana was killed in a tragic car accident. Diana was killed because of the press's obsession with her, a couple of photographers wanted a picture of her with Dodi Al-Fayed which caused her death. Ironically, her death became the biggest media event in history.

 

Celebrities provide the media and press with a story, whether it's the announcement of Michael Jordan's retirement or the presidential sex scandal. Celebrities endorse television and magazines and give us a reason to watch and read them
