People go to rehab for all different kinds of reasons, one of which is to help people readjust to society after an illness. However one of the most common reasons for people being admitted to rehab is due to the depenency on substances such as alcohol, cocaine, heroin, amphetamines and even prescription drugs.
Rehabilitation helps patients stop their addiction before they lose control on their psychological and financial status.
Celebrities are always in and out of rehab, although a celebrity rehab is more like a holiday resort they do do get the treatment they need. Going to a celebrity rehab isn't cheap, many famous people will pay up to $60,000 to stay there, but they aren't paying so much for nothing, these resorts have luxarys such as make up artists, hair stylists, personal trainers and much more.
Amy winehouse has been admitted to rehab on numerous occasions. One incident was when video footage of the soul singer was posted online of her smoking cocaine. She was also arrested and fined for possesion of cannabis whilst she was in Norway.
Britney Spears admitted herself back into rehab after her family members had requested her to do so. Ever since Britney and her husband split up she has been seen as going of the rails, constently partying loads, being snapped by the paparrazi in bad situations and making headlines.
Take That singer Mark Owen admitted himself into rehab for a alcohol and cannabis problem after he said that was the cause of him cheating on his wife 10 times before they were married.

Whitney houston entered a drug rehabilitation unit after admitting she abused both alcohol and drugs. She was in an interview with Oprah Winfrey when she said "My mum came to my house and she told me, you have to go to rehab now".
