Musicians today play a huge part in peoples lives especially younger people. They're the ones who are there when no one else is, they're the ones that are there when a child comes ome from school and the parents are there. Musicians have the voice that seperates good and bad. The music that a musician provides is always there when we need it most, whether we are upset or lonely. Music does a lot for a youngster as for an instant that child can feel different whilst listening to music, the lyrics in the songs can relate to the things they're going though or feelingor they want to be feeling. This is why the youth look at superstars as rolemodels.
Many musicians speak about their own troubled life and how music has helped the escape their fears and troubled areas, which helps teenagers to know they're not the only ones out there going though troubled times.
"Most of us are concentrating on the things that really matter, like our talents and goals. Music plays a large role in all of our lives, but for teens, music becomes especially important, giving a voice to those unable to speak their feelings. It is also the number one reason why teens stay away from drugs."
Many parents say that both David Beckham and Cheryl Cole are best suited role models for children. More than 50% of people said David Beckham was a good role model and only 40% did for Cheryl Cole.
Not everyone believes that Cheryl should be seen as a good role model due to her conviction in 2003. She had to do 120 hours of Community service after she assulted a worker at a nightclub.
